VINTAGE PAPER DOLLS

VINTAGE PAPER DOLLS
by Dreamy Poetess

In childhood's days so simple, life's delight,
Paper dolls were my Barbies, joy took flight.
With siblings, outdoor games we used to share,
Mom's homemade snacks, a taste beyond compare.

Now, times have shifted, it's a different scene,
No longer in the '90s, as it's been.
Kids glued to screens, their gadgets in their hold,
Rarely do they go out, or so I'm told.

Life, once simple, held its own challenge too,
Yet, its charm and contentment surely grew.
In modern times, it's seemingly more plain,
People's happiness, still hard to attain.

Fond memories return, a flood of grace,
When vintage paper dolls, shown to my face.
There's a dress-up app on my phone, it's true,
Yet my childhood came back into my view.

This truth emerges, clear and undenied,
As the world evolves, it shifts with the tide.
Cherished childhood memories, they'll endure,
In our hearts, they remain forever pure.
